A Wall of Forgotten Greens

In the heart of the Dordogne forest, on the terrace of an old château, a mural painting depicts a jasmine plant like the one growing right beside the wall. This botanical fresco, painted in an antique style, was designed to blend into the stone, as if it had always been part of the château.

Over time, the real jasmine will climb toward the painting. Its living leaves will meet the painted ones, creating a natural blend between mural art and a growing plant. The wall will then become a setting that changes slowly with the seasons.

This mural painting in Dordogne offers a simple and poetic scene: a painted jasmine waiting for the real jasmine, an old wall finding new life, and a terrace where nature and art meet. A gentle way to highlight the château, its surroundings, and its history.

This project was designed in collaboration with architect Patrizia Mazzei.
