Art for well-being
A Transformation at the Heart of the Croix Saint Simon Hospital
‘Art doesn’t cure illness, but it soothes the soul and makes the journey easier.
Art as a Source of Comfort
In difficult times, every detail counts. A pleasant environment can play an essential role in the well-being of patients and their families. Through this initiative, we have sought to bring a touch of poetry and softness to hospital rooms, by integrating visual elements that invite contemplation and curiosity.
Patients can discover little details hidden in the decorations: birds perched here and there, lucky ladybirds hidden in the illustrations… An invitation to observe and play, which, for a moment, helps to lighten the daily routine and awaken the imagination.
A collective project driven by benevolence
This project would not have been possible without the support and involvement of many people. I would like to say a huge thank you to Emilie Fender, health executive, oncologist Camille Serrate, and the entire medical and care team. Their commitment, kindness and availability have been a real source of inspiration.
Their warm welcome helped bring this initiative to life with positive energy and a shared desire to improve patients’ daily lives. Working alongside them has been an enriching human and artistic experience, reinforcing the idea that care is not only about medication, but also about emotions and the environment.
